Planet of the Apes Complete Franchise Now Streaming On Hulu

The complete “Planet of the Apes” franchise is now available to stream on Hulu. This leads up to the latest release in the franchise “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” which debuts in theaters on May 10.
The franchise, based on Pierre Boulle’s 1963 novel of the same name, follows the concept of humans and apes clashing for control. The series has earned more than $1.7 billion at the worldwide box office.
All nine of the “Planet of the Apes” movies are now available to stream on Hulu. The first in the collection that launches the whole franchise is the 1968 film “Planet of the Apes.” The story follows astronaut George Taylor and his crew crash a planet where apes are the dominant species and humans are primitive.

The next four movies all came out in the same decade: “Beneath the Planet of the Apes” (1970), “Escape from the Planet of the Apes” (1971), “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes” (1972) and “Battle for the Planet of the Apes” (1973). These movies again follow the apes as rulers, and taking control over humans.
Mark Wahlberg stars as astronaut Leo Davidson in the 2001 remake of “Planet of the Apes,” which was directed by Tim Burton. The next movie, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011) tells the origin story of ape, Caesar and stars James Franco. “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” (2014) continues the story of Caesar and follows the events that happened in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” where a deadly virus killed most of the human race. “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017) was the last film in the reboot trilogy. It continues Caesar’s story of struggling to survive and co-exist with humans as he enters war.
The “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” official synopsis reads, “Many years after the reign of Caesar, a young ape goes on a journey that will lead him to question everything he’s been taught about the past and make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.”
