Mayor of Kingstown Renewed for Season 3 at Paramount+

“Mayor of Kingstown” has been renewed for its third season at Paramount+.
The series stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, who comes from a family of power brokers in Kingstown, Mich., where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series follows the McLusky family through their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.
Along with Renner, the cast includes Dianne Wiest as Miriam McLusky, Mike’s mother; series co-creator Hugh Dillon as detective Ian Ferguson; Taylor Handley as Kyle McLusky, Mike’s younger brother; Emma Laird as Iris, an escort; Tobi Bamtefa as Bunny, leader of the Kingstown Crips; Derek Webster as Stevie, another detective; Hamish Allan-Headley as police sargeant Robert Sawyer; and Aidan Gillen as Russian mobster Milo Sunter.

“Mayor of Kingstown” was the first new series to debut under Sheridan’s overall deal at ViacomCBS, which was inked after the successful debut of “Yellowstone.” Sheridan’s other projects at the streamer include “Yellowstone” prequel series “1883” and sequel series “1923” as well as “Tulsa King,” “Special Ops: Lioness” and the upcoming “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” and “Land Man.”
While exact viewership data has not been made available, Paramount+ says that as Season 2 of “Mayor of Kingstown” was running, it was the No. 3 title on the platform, bested only by “1923” and “Tulsa King.”
